The Annual Public Policy Forum Western Dinner was held in Calgary on September 26th, 2012 at The Telus Centre. The dinner featured the presentation of the Peter Lougheed Award for Leadership in Public Policy awarded in recognition of exceptional Western Canadian public policy leadership with a national impact. The late Peter Lougheed served as the tenth Premier of Alberta, and is widely acknowledged as one of Canada's most respected leaders and greatest Prmier of the past generation.

1st Western Dinner

The Public Policy Forum's first ever Western Dinner was held in Calgary on September 22nd, 2010. This special event celebrated the tremendous contributions of Western Canadians to public policy leadership.
The dinner featured the inaugural presentation of the Peter Lougheed Award for Public Policy Leadership. This award is given in recognition of exceptional Western Canadian public policy leadership with a national impact. The Hon. Peter Lougheed (pictured here) served as the tenth Premier of Alberta, and is widely acknowledged as one of Canada's most respected leaders.
This prestigious new award was presented by Peter Lougheed to Roger Gibbins, President and CEO of the Canada West Foundation, Ron Hicks, former Deputy Minister of the Executive Council, Government of Alberta, Martha Piper, former President of the University of British Columbia, and Clay Riddell, Founder and Chairman of Paramount Resources.
