(Less) Male, (Even Less) Educated, (Even Less) Experienced & (Even more) White

An updated snapshot of Canada's Parliament, including data on the gender, ethnicity, education, employment background and parliamentary experience of Members of Parliament. Highlights include:

• 24.3% of Canadian MPs are over the age of 60
• 24 (7.8%) MPs are “non-white"
• 203 MPs (65.9%) have a university degree
• 189 MPs (61.4%) come from the private sector
• 74 MPs (24%) are newly elected
• 208 MPs (67.5%) have less than 5 years experience
• Only 12 MPs (10 Liberal) have over 15 years experience
